Words from our staff…

"I have worked at W.A. Olmsted Elementary School for over 22 years. I began as a substitute teacher, was then hired part-time as the UPK aide, and I now work full-time as a special education aide. Initially, I worked here because my children attended the district and it was nice to work when they were at school and be off when they were off. I have chosen to stay because the work is both meaningful and rewarding. Supporting students as they grow, learn, and reach their goals is something I truly value. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of their journey. I also appreciate the practical benefits—good insurance, a pension, and the stability that comes with this job. What makes it even better is the team I work with—my coworkers are not only supportive but also fun to be around. HCS is a positive environment, where people care about each other and the students we serve."
