About Our Schools
The district consists of one elementary school serving students in pre-k through grade 6 and one junior/senior high school for grades 7-12. With approximately 660 students and 160 employees, the district offers a small-town learning environment emphasizing individualized attention and high expectations.

- More than 40 percent of the class of 2022 graduated with a cumulative total of over 800 college credits through our Harpur School of Excellence dual enrollment program.
- Students are able to graduate with their associate’s degree by taking advantage of dual enrollment courses offered at the high school.
- Students can participate in the highly competitive New Visions college preparatory program at BOCES in five different academies: Health, Engineering, Business, Law and Government, and Education.
- Career and Technical Education opportunities for students.
- Pathways in Technology Early College (P-TECH) program in partnership with BOCES and SUNY Broome. P-TECH is a grant-funded program that enables students to earn an associate's degree while concurrently working on their high school diploma.

Our academic program is complemented by a full slate of offerings in interscholastic athletics and co-curricular activities. We are very proud of our athletes! MANY ‘scholar athletes’ have walked the halls of our school over the years, some have even gone on to the collegiate level. Our athletics program includes mergers with two other rural area school districts. This has created unique opportunities for relationships among area youth and their families to grow across two counties and three local school communities. Our school is fortunate in that the Town of Colesville’s Harpursville Youth Civic Association also prepares many of our local young athletes for athletics. We offer volleyball, football, basketball, baseball, softball, cheer, soccer, field hockey, cross country, wrestling, bowling, indoor track, and outdoor track. Our various team mergers differ by sport. Teams are comprised of various combinations of athletes from Harpursville, Afton, and Bainbridge-Guilford Central Schools.

The district is governed by a Board of Education comprised of seven elected community members. District Superintendent Heath Georgia and a dedicated team of professionals and support staff work hard to identify and address the educational needs of all students.
